I like to produce hand-stitched cards for family and friends - at Christmas this means I need about forty of them. Stitching these could take months and lots of materials so I produce a different tree design each year which is quick to work and economical to make. Usually they are then decorated with beads and scraps kept from other projects during the year. They always seem to go down well!
