Katkins includes the simplest SDDS designs which are quickest to work. They are suitable for beginners, people in a hurry and those facing deadlines! They tend to be smaller and use a more limited palette with fewer close tones. Examples include letters of the alphabet, the annual SDDS Christmas cards and a series of squares based on traditional North American pieced quilts. |

Jen-shun is the main SDDS collection and contains most of the designs. A palette of up to thirty colours, many of them close tones, is used in each design, small patches of colour are used to give the desired effect of depth and detail. Some designs have a hidden surprise, such as this anniversary rose. Look carefully at the leaves in the corners! Many designs follow particular themes or are part of a series. |
