I've stitched several versions of this design as it adapts well to different proportions and levels of detail. The pinks and greens can be chosen to give a dark rich effect, as shown here, or a lighter and brighter finish.The elements come from studies of plants from our garden - a variegated Hedera (ivy) and a pink Osteospermum (cape daisy). The daisy's own leaves are a rather dull flat thin oval and so, as I wanted to fill in corners neatly, I mixed the two into one fantasy plant.
